Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is an actress and model from the United States. After launching her career as an actress, Mena Alexandra Suvari appeared as an actress in the 1990s on television shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. She made her film debut in 1997's drama film Nowhere. The actress made her way to big roles through her appearances as a character in American Beauty for which she received nominations for a BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained the attention of the world. Following that, she starred as the main character for the role of a protagonist in Sugar & Spice (2000) along with American Pie star Jason Biggs. Her appearances were in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller film Trauma. She also starred in the HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The series was a hit in 2004 and in 2005, the Screen Actors Guild honored her as one of the best cast members. In 2008, Suvari was a part in several films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured on various fashion websites and in various magazines like Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. She's been an activist and supporter to the African Medical and Research Foundation. In addition, she has been involved in issues of empowerment for women, as well as charitable organizations which promote research into breast cancer and End Violence Against Women.
